"Electrical Storm" video

The sea it swells like a sore head
And the night it is aching
Two lovers lie with no sheets on their bed
And the day it is breaking

On rainy days, we'd go swimming out
On rainy days, swimming in the sound
On rainy days, we'd go swimming out

You're in my mind all of the time
I know that's not enough
If the sky can crack, there must be some way back
For love and only love

(OPTIONAL: Depending on version)
Electrical Storm
Electrical Storm
Electrical Storm
Baby don't cry
Car alarm won't let ya back to sleep
You're kept awake dreaming someone else's dream
Coffee is cold, but it'll get you through
Compromise, that's nothing new to you

Let's see colours that have never been seen
Let's go to places no one else has been

You're in my mind all of the time
I know that's not enough
Well if the sky can crack, there must be some way back
To love and only love

Electrical Storm
Electrical Storm
Electrical Storm
Baby don't cry

It's hot as hell, honey, in this room
Sure hope the weather will break soon
The air is heavy, heavy as a truck
Need the rain to wash away our bad luck

Hey-yeah, hey-eeyay

Well, If the sky can crack, there must be some way back
To love and only love

Electrical Storm
Electrical Storm
Electrical Storm

Baby don't cry
Baby don't cry
Baby don't cry Baby don't cry

About "Electrical Storm"

"Electrical Storm" is the only single from U2's second compilation album, The Best of 1990–2000, and one of the two new songs recorded for that album (the other one being "The Hands That Built America"). The music video for the song prominently features drummer Larry Mullen, Jr., as well as actress Samantha Morton. The song is about two lovers who are fighting and the tension between them; it relates this to a looming electrical storm.
Although the song did not make a big impression in the US (#77), the song did well elsewhere, peaking at #1 in Canada and many European countries. It also peaked at #5 on the UK Singles Chart and made #s 13 and 26 on the Modern Rock Tracks and Mainstream Rock Tracks charts, respectively. It made #5 in Australia.

Composition

Larry Mullen Jr. carries Samantha Morton back into the ocean.
Two official versions of the song exist — the "Band Version" mixed by Carl Glanville, and the "William Orbit Mix" mixed by William Orbit and featuring a much quieter intro. The "William Orbit Mix" appeared on The Best of 1990-2000 and the "Band Version" was featured on the b-sides disc of the album. A third version was heard, briefly, on radio stations in the UK and Australia, shortly before official release of the single. Sometimes called the 'Radio One Mix' (because it was originally played on Radio One in the UK, and in the middle of the song a Radio One station call sign is heard), this version is a very-mellow sounding mix, with different guitar lines during the chorus and traditional U2 "chiming" riff at the start of the guitar solo towards the end of the song. It is believed this was a demo version that was leaked to radio, and it now is thought to only exist as private fan off-air recordings. Despite "Electrical Storm" being a successful single, U2 has never performed the song live. [From Wikipedia]
