"Mofo" video

Lookin' for to save my, save my soul
Lookin' in the places where no flowers grow.
Lookin' for to fill that God-shaped hole
Mother, mother-suckin' rock an'roll.

Holy dunc, space junk cominĂ in for the splash
White dopes on punk staring into the flash.
Lookin' for the baby Jesus under the trash
Mother, mother-suckin' rock an' roll.
Mother. (scat singing)

Mother, am I still your son?
You know I've waited for so long
To hear you say so.

Mother, you left and made me someone.
Now I'm still a child, but no one tells me no.

Lookin' for a sound that's gonna drown out the world.
Lookin' for the father of my two little girls.
Got the swing, got the sway, got my straw in lemonade.
Still lookin' for the face I had before the world was made.
Mother, mother-suckin' rock an' roll

Soothe me, mother
Rule me, father
Move me, brother
Woo me, sister.

Soothe me, mother
Rule me, father
Show me, mother
Show me, mother.

Show me, mother
Show me, mother
Show me, mother
Show me, mother.

About "Mofo"

From the original U2 Album "Pop" (03 March 1997)

"Mofo" (short for motherfucker) is the sixth and final single from U2's 1997 album Pop. It was the first time U2 released more than five singles from one album.

Continuing a common theme in U2's lyrics, the song was partially written about Bono's mother, whom he lost at the age of fourteen. Other songs which Bono wrote about his mother include "Lemon", "I Will Follow" and "Tomorrow".

"Mofo" opened every concert from the 1997-1998 PopMart Tour. Although the studio version released on the album was more techno-oriented, live performances had an increased rock sound. It appears in the concert film PopMart: Live from Mexico City and also on Hasta la Vista Baby!, a live album from the same show. [From Wikipedia]
